IEEE-841
IEEE-841 motors are designed for the petrochemical and chemical industries. The IEEE-841 specification covers 1-500 horsepower 2, 4, 6, and 8 pole motors. The nominal efficiencies of these motors from most manufacturers comply with NEMA Premium. Ideally, motors that comply with the IEEE-841 standard will provide additional protection, resulting in reduced downtime without the need for the specifier to write a custom proprietary motor specification.

Toshiba's EQPGlobal-841 motors are designed to specifically address the needs of the petrochemical industry where premium performance and reliability are imperative. Toshiba's IEEE-841 motors are available up to 300 horsepower with 2, 4, or 6 poles, 460 or 575V, and come standard with a 5 year warranty.
Siemens SD100-IEEE841 motors are ideal for use in chemical processing, mining, foundy, pulp and paper, waste management and petro/chemical applications. Siemens offers both 460 and 575 volt motors from 1 to 400 horsepower. These motors exceed IEEE std 841TM-2009 standards for high performance, rugged construction and long service life, for the most demanding industrial applications.
Nidec/US Motors IEEE-841 Plus NEMA Premium Efficient motors are designed for constant speed and inverter duty applications in petro-chemical, pulp & paper, automotive, mining and waste treatment industries. These motors are available from 1-400 horsepower 2, 4, or 6 pole and 460 or 575V and feature a 5 year warranty.
Baldor Super-E IEEE-841 motors are designed, manufactured and tested to exceed IEEE 841-2009 TEFC motor standards for extreme severe duty service. Horsepower sizes range from 1 HP through 250 horsepower and are available in 460 and 575V.
Marathon Electric's Blue Chip IEEE-841 Premium Efficient motors are designed for extreme applications in the process industries such as chemical plants, pulp and paper mills, refineries, above-ground mines, food processing, foundries, and other severe duty environments. Marathon offers these motors from 1 to 350 horsepower with available RPM's dependent on the rating. 575V motors are also available in certain ratings.
