Inverter/Vector Duty
Inverter/Vector Duty motors designed specifically for variable speed control. They are designed to handle the additional heat generated when running at lower speeds. Vector Duty motors typically provide continuous constant torque performance across the entire speed range from zero speed to base speed.

Marathon offers a variety of Inverter/Vector Duty motors varying from 20:1 constant torque to 2000:1 constant torque. These motors range from 1/4 to 350 horsepower and are available in 230/460 and 575 voltages.

Toshiba Vector Duty motors are good for 2000:1 constant torque in vector control mode. They feature the durability and reliability that all Toshiba motors are known for. Available horsepowers range from 1 to 350 and both 460 and 575 voltages are available.
Siemens offers both 10:1 constant torque Inverter Duty motors and 1000:1 constant torque Vector Duty motors. These motors are designed specifically for use with adjustable speed drives and range in horsepower from 1 to 400.
Nidec/US Motors Vector Duty motors are good for 2000:1 constant torque operation. They are available from 1/4 to 75 horsepower in 230/460 and 575 voltages. US Motors also offers Inverter Duty motors good for 10:1 constant torque operation. Inverter Duty motors are available up to 300 horsepower.
Baldor's extensive line of Vector Duty motors features 1000:1 constant torque operation. They are available from 1/3 to 300 horsepower and in Severe Duty and IEEE-841 enclosures. Baldor also offers various Inverter Duty motors including Washdown Duty and Explosion Proof motors.
